Quincy Speedway
Last Visited - 2015
Track Distance - 1/4 mile
Facilities - Limited
City/Town - Quincy, Illinois, USA
Website - www.quincyraceways.com
Location - Quincy Speedway is in the middle of nowhere. 1 hour 45 minutes to the west of Springfield Illinois and 2 hours
15 minutes to the north west of St Louis Missouri. I think it would be fair to say that this track caters to
rural fans! I wish you the best of luck finding this place.
Parking - More than ample off-road parking is located right beside the track.
Premiere Meeting - Be there when the World of Outlaw Late Models roll into town. This meeting is being held in
late July in 2015.
Also worth attending - POWRI Midget week is well worth a look with Quincy running the first show in 2015. The
Summer Nationals might also we worth a look.
Best spot to sit - Aside from a couple of small pit stands on the back straight the only place to view the action
is the main grandstand on the front straight. Anywhere in this stand provides good viewing.
Classes run - Midgets, Micros, 410 Sprintcars, Late Models, US Modifieds, US Stock Cars, Sportsmods, Sport Compacts
Uniqueness - Quincy is a fairly typical American quarter mile. It features a decent amount of banking at
each end and is open ended meaning there are no wall at each end of the race track. Perhaps the most unique thing
Percy found there was a Dean Brindle die cast Sprintcar for sale from his Salter Cartage days. Now that's random.
